Congratulations TJCC Stingrays: 2011 CDO League Champions!

Congratulations on our team’s FIRST PLACE finish at the CDO League Championships! Everyone swam their very best and we are so proud of all of our swimmers and coaches! Not only were we fast, we were LOUD! The cheering, high-fives and huge smiles were the best part of the night. Way to go, Stingrays!

In addition to our team’s 1st place finish, we had numerous high points winners. Please take a moment to congratulate the following swimmers (please forgive us if we missed someone – it was very loud at the ceremony!):

We have the medals and ribbons from the Championship Meet. If you did not receive yours at dinner tonight, please check your swim folder on Monday or see Kyra at the upcoming Long Course Meets. There were 3 medals that didn’t have stickers on them, so if you know you are missing a medal, please let Kyra know. Thank you!

We hope that everyone enjoyed their TJCC Stingray SAAA experience. Our team swims year-round, and we’d love to see you this fall. Registration dates are not yet set, but we’ll start in mid to late August. We’ll send out an email with the dates, and you can check our website for updates. The year-round program is tons of fun…come check it out!

We wish to thank the Tucson Jewish Community Center for its continued support of our team. We have the best “home” in town!

On a personal note, thank you for all of your kind words, cards and thoughtful gifts. It is a pleasure to work with such an amazing group of children and parents.

Warm up schedule for Preliminaries

Here is the warm up schedule for tomorrow (Thursday) at Amphi Pool.

Meet under the Stingray tents.  Please be on time (see suggested arrival times in parentheses):

Warm Ups:
  • White    7:30 – 7:45  (be on deck and ready to swim no later than 7:15)
  • Blue     7:30 – 7:45  (be on deck and ready to swim no later than 7:15)
  • Silver    6:30 – 7:00 (be on deck and ready to swim no later than 6:20)
  • Gold 1    6:30 – 7:00 (be on deck and ready to swim no later than 6:20)
  • Gold 2    7:00 – 7:30 (be on deck and ready to swim no later than 6:50)
  • Senior    7:00 – 7:30 (be on deck and ready to swim  no later than 6:50)

Hello Stingrays!

 Hope all had a great weekend!

I want to take a minute to thank every one for your thoughts and kindnesses shown to me and my family during my wife’s recovery.  She will make a full recovery and will be back on her feet in a couple of weeks… Thanks again!
